Best hotel I stayed in my trip to Japan. Incredible. Very spacious and comfortable. Super clean. Big place that even has simple, but cool night entertainment. The dinner buffet was some of the best meals we had in Japan, great quality. Samegoes for breakfast. The onsen was also the best we stayed in Japan, with 5 pools. You have a river with a waterfall from the balcony of your room. Leave the window slighty open to sleep to the sound of it. Guests wear yukata and kimono at all times. Full of japanese people, not many foreign tourists. Great experience.

A solid and unexpectedly wonderful Ryokan hotel. The staff were completely on point and everything looks immaculately clean, modern, and well-kept. I was really blown away by the size of the room, probably the biggest I’ve seen in all of Japan! The Obachan who makes the onigiri is an absolute delight. The way she interacted with the young children was just so sweet and heartfelt! Ingredients listings on all the foods was also super helpful to avoid activating my shellfish allergy. Also - buffet carts?! Genius!

The hotel is fantastic! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with great facilities like karaoke and a game center. I stayed with my family (14 people in total), and the hotel was kind enough to arrange a private room for us for both dinner and breakfast. The buffet-style meals were very delicious and satisfying. The onsen was excellent, and the view from it was stunning, right next to the Kinugawa River. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, even assisting us with taking photos.

The hotel is something like a resort, with entertainment and public/private onsen options inside: perfect place to relax and rest a bit. Spaces are very well maintained and clean, staff is very nice. The dinner and breakfast are buffet, with a variety of options also for vegetarians. Vegans may not find much to eat, though. If you go with public transport, there is a dial bus connecting to the train station, which however is not included in the Nikko pass.

We had a large room with a wonderful view of the river. The staff, especially in reception, were warm and helpful. Dinner and breakfast buffets are superb. Great variety. Food is refreshed efficiently and staff clear tables efficiently. I like how they prepare your futon whilst you're at dinner. The onsen baths are great. They swap over for the morning, so you can experience both areas. There's free non-alcoholic drinks in the lounge throughout the day.
